[myth-ie] Backing up for a re-install

Hey Guys,

My Mythdora 4 based box is not happy. For the last couple of days,  
it's hard hanging in a very bad way. I'm not sure if this is heat  
related (I've an adjuster on the cpu fan and it's turned down a good  
bit) or something software related (recently applied some upgrades).

In the event that I've to do a fresh install, I was wondering if any  
of you guys had some tips/guides on how to best keep my setup (xmltv/ 
channel lists, existing recordings and db) across a re-install.

I've an external drive that I can use to move stuff onto in the event  
I need a full re-format.
