[myth-ie] Channel setup/EPG guide?

Has anybody written a channel/EPG setup guide 
specifically for Irish users of Mythtv?
I am having trouble setting this part up. I am running 
Mythbuntu 7.10 and all my hardware
is working. 

I did the channel scan, "mythfilldatabase" and also ran 
"tv_grab_uk_rt --configure".
All my channels have a number or letter/number 
combination, are the real channel
names/numbers updated from the Radio times data or do I 
have to do this manually?

Also, most of the channels are not fully tuned in, I 
guess the channel scan doesn't
take into account the variable frequencies used by 
NTL/UPC. Is there a way to fine tune
the channels?
