[myth-ie] who's got the PVR-350 (or 150 or 500)?

PVR350, with KnoppMyth.  I've had not much fun with KnoppMyth, and
wouldn't recommend it -- but given all the other non-fun you're having
with other distros, it might not be so bad after all by comparison ;)

by the way it's worth noting that I built MythTV 0.20 from source to
replace the KnoppMyth version, and it was very easy.  (Certainly a lot
easier than replacing any other part of the distro.)
