I've submitted a few patches to the list over the past three or four
months but haven't had any response from the Webmake author Justin
Mason.

I have just looked at  http://taint.org which seems to be his web log
and it looks as if he is travelling half-way around the world at present
so there may not be any new developments to Webmake in the near future.
